Ceramic vs plain neoprene

anyone have specific experience w/ both? Have a horse I would like to help a bit w/ hock stiffness. Was thinking about getting boots for him to wear prior to rides to help him warm up faster.

So, ceramic fiber boots seem to be a special fabric, usually lining a neoprene hock boot. “Reflects heat back to body as low IR waves.” If the point to these boots is to warm up the hock, do they really work any better than just plain neoprene, which holds in heat & therefore warms the area as well?

I am having difficulty finding any direct comparisons. Don’t see the need to pay 3times as much for a pair of boots if they are just doing the same thing as the cheaper ones. That being said if there is a real, discernable difference in effectiveness, rather than just a real, discernable difference in marketing, I would be happy to pay the difference
