Has anyone taken either of these drugs for Epstein Barr?
Seems I tried Acyclovir (Zovirax) many years ago and tolerated it well.
Probably should have stayed on it. Meanwhile many years after initial CFS Dx
(elevated EBV titers) I am sicker than ever. Assume reactivated. (early antigen high). Asked doctor to try antivirals. Got Valacyclovir (Valtrex) and it is making me even sicker. Nausea that I don’t remember with Acyclovir.
If either of these meds help with EBV, what are your opinions/experiences?
I have it in my mind that Valtrex would work better but Zovirax (Acyclovir) better tolerated. Tks any help.
