Chacco Ricco

Does anyone have foals by him? What does he bring to the table?? Thinking of bringing my retired broodmare out of retirement. She is only 16 but her last foal is coming 4. Don’t ask me about her confirmation she is approved in multiple registries and her foals have all been premium foals. I know her faults, but lets see without prodding if they are his strong points.

Thanks

Well that was quite the way to open up a discussion…

Are we allowed to ask about her conformation? Sorry, couldn’t resist!

There are a number of his offspring jumping around in Europe, many being marketed to the US hunter market and you can see their videos on YouTube. He does seem to pass on the slow lope-y canter and nice jump. The offspring I’ve seen seem very marketable to the hunter people, most are out of lighter mares as I recall.

She is by a well bred Trakehner stallion out of a well bred TB mare that had a successful racing career back in the day. She is, papered and approved as a premium mare in the Westphalen studbook and also approved in theTrakehner studbooks. She is very leggy, could use a longer neck, (which she got from her Trakehner sire- not her dam) she is built uphill with a fabulous jump and scope, lots of suspension. She has a very good loin and feet as well. She is not refined but not as heavy of a mare as her dam. She has had 3 foals and pretty much stamps herself. She will throw a heaver boned foal if bred to a heavier warmblood stallion.

Thanks for the info Amberley. This foal will definitely be a hunter type and will be for sale. She will be bred to him next week.
