One of my favorites. Her legacy as a broodmare looks promising.
Has anyone heard what happened to her? She was pretty darn young.
I didnât see any article mention a cause of death, so it appears Coolmore is keeping that to themselves, as is their right.
Really, theyâre damned if they do, damned if they donât. Iâm not bothering with FB because itâll be the usual screeching about âgreedâ and âbred to deathâ from the pretty-horsies-fart-rainbows crowd.
According to Paulick, she died back in 2023 at age 12.
I get the impression that Coolmore would have stayed quiet about it if Aiden hadnât made a comment about it.

I did see where he had commented but not the rest.
I donât blame them at all for keeping quiet about it. The uninformed public are ruthless, even in cases where the cause of death is something like a paddock accident or colic. Iâm weary of idiots who scream âabuse!â if the horse isnât bubble-wrapped 24/7 (or running âwild and free in natureâ, like thereâs unlimited land and a retired racehorse would easily adapt to that life); I can only imagine how sick to death the professionals are
Wow. So they paid $8 million for her at the end of 2017 and she died sometime in 2023. Ouch.
I believe one of the articles I read said two of her foals did not race at all. Double ouch.
Better unraced than unplaced.
I have to admit I laughed at the âpretty horsies fart rainbowsâ line. They are so tiresome.
If I had to, I would bet colic. Sheâd already had an episode that changed her trajectory.
Of her other two foals, one daughter (Grateful) just won a Group 1 in France. She also has a 2yo colt with one win and a Group stakes placing.
He is her most recent offspring, making me wonder if @malarkey is onto something and perhaps Tepin had some recurrent colic trouble.
Tepinâs 2yo son Delacroix, by Dubawi, just won the Gr.3 Autumn Stakes.
