Chances my 13.2hh two year old will stay pony sized?

She is 13.2 at two years old. Her dam was small for her breeding, so she was bred down to a pony and got a large pony previously. This time, she was bred to a horse, but the baby just had her 2 year old birthday and is 13.2.

What are the chances of her staying a pony? She is tiny, but always healthy and well fed. Little hooves, little bone structure, just a dainty girl overall.

I wanted a horse of course…

Definitely should stay pony sized.

She will end up a small large pony.

I agree she will most likely stay pony–my yearling purebred pony is 13.2 and a bit coming up on his birthday–I anticipate small horse size even though both parents are card carrying large ponies.

I agree with the other, but can you let us know what breed she is and how tall the parents are?

Well, this is encouraging, I hope… LOL

I bought a 2 year old last year, she was 13.2 when I got her. She’s 3 now, and about 14 hands now. Haven’t officially measured her just comparing to my height and to the height of my 16.2 hh mare.

Granted she is out of a 16.2 hh mare and by a 14.2 hh stallion so… I’m not holding my breath that she’ll stay pony. I’ve told her, stay pony otherwise you got to grow to 15.2 hhs. We’ll see if she follows that…

Agreed, my three year old was 13.1 when he was two and will definitely end a large…

What no pictures such a wonderfull description… pictures pretty please.
