Chestnut Hanoverian mare, blaze, outside of Nashville, TN - found

So I stumble upon an ad on craigslist for a Hanoverian mare with a mixed bunch of horses and I inquired and was sent photos. Long story short, the mare is now with me. I have been told that she is 8 years old. She is not branded. She has a blaze and two rear white socks. Lovely mover. Sixteen hands.

Seems rather like one of those too good to be true things, so I’m making sure no one is missing her before I fall in love. Does anyone know anything about this mare? I was told that she previously evented and that her owner abandoned her at a boarding facility.

That’s all I know. Anyone?

Update: Mare is now a filly.

Went to put a Panacur Power Pak on her and noticed a gap in her teeth. Sure enough, her five year molars are just now erupting. Had the vet out yesterday to x-ray her knees and he estimates her age to be just four, not eight. Hence, doubtful she evented, but she HAS been under saddle.

I will NOT be sending photos of her to people. There are a couple of distinguishable marks that I have left out of her description that anyone who owned her should be able to tell me. At that time, photos will be sent. I would want to know how she ended up in the situation she is in. If she was stolen, obviously, she would be returned.

I just want the best thing for this girl. It is painfully obvious that she has suffered from some mistreatment. Incredibly head shy (fine with me now), extremely leary of men and strangers in general.

Was trimmed by the farrier over the weekend and she’s been there and done that although it took a bit of coaxing to trust him.

I’ve received some PMs. Keep them coming. If someone wrongfully took this filly, she should be where she belongs. If she was abandoned, she has found her new home. Thank you.
