Chief editor St.George Magazine corrected by German riders

It’s no secret that Gabriele Pochhammer and Anky are not good friends from eachother. During the press-conference after the winning freestyle of Anky and Salinero she tried to stear up the pot, by complaining that Anky didn’t canter during the victory lap. (because Anky wasn’t there yet) Heike Kemmer answered for her : Sorry but we really don’t want Anky to get hurt, and it was absolutely no problem for us.

It’s obvious that these topriders fully respect eachother and only fight their battle in the ring, maybee the different media should take this as a good example.

classy.

Nice. Heike Kemmer has impressed me all around this Olympics. I’d never seen her ride or watched her afterwards before this.

I wouldn’t want to canter Salinero during a victory lap.

Indeed.

I wouldn’t want to mount Salinero…put a leg on him and I fear an explosion. I admire Anky for riding him.

I don’t admire her for having a horse that’s so tense he can’t be pulled up at the victory gallop and won’t halt in any of his tests. Where oh where is FEI Dressage heading if this woman and her self-centered attitudes about what training and Dressage tests should be takes the sport in the wrong diretion? Thank God she’s retiring from competition.

Too optimistic a scenario

Thank God she’s retiring from competition.

Unfortunately, the train wreck apparently will continue:

She announced that her future plans include the 2009 European Championships and 2010 World Equestrian Games in Kentucky, USA, but had no real determination to go to the 2012 Olympics in London.

Anky did, however, leave the option open. As published on Horses of the Dutch, Anky said she would consider the 2012 Olympics if she had a good, new horse. "With another top horse I would consider it [going to London]…

Don’t worry, they have planned to build a hugh hotel and spa next to their stables, so you can stay there and train with them as long as you want.

I can’t wait!

Oh great, the Guantanamo Bay of training facilities is on the way (look it up;)!

Glad to know that everybody in this civilised world feel the same about
Guantanamo Bay.

very tasteless

Another echo to this sentiment

Poor Anky, she cant even blow her nose in public without someone finding something negative to say about it.
Honestly, over the yrs, it getting old… I dont even listen to the Anky gossip anymore. Maybe eventually they will find someone else to pick on.
Who cares if her horse does not halt, its HER HORSE, HER DECISION. Who cares if she likes to ride hot horses. Its HER HORSE, HER DECISION. Who they heck has the right to judge her anyway!??! Yes, everyone has an opinion, but who really gives a stinking rats butt about it after its all over???
I just dont understand… its worse than the Brad Pitt/Angelena Jolie thing. My gosh ppl, move on…

“Tasteless”?

What’s more tasteless: committing the deed or reporting on it?

Don’t worry, they have planned to build a hugh hotel and spa next to their stables, so you can stay there and train with them as long as you want.

I’ll be there, with a smile on my face and a hidden camera in my luggage

who gives a flying hoss apple if she canters during the victory lap?

Reporting on it, when that report compares something relatively trivial (a controversial horse training facility) with one of the most tragic abd systematic violations of human rights in recent history. Have some respect and find a better metaphor.

very classy. I don’t know if it was out of respect, or out of gratitude that their own horses wouldn’t be injured during an A/S explosion. Anyway, a very very classy answer.

Gabriele Pochhammer is a frustrated old wench who just can’t let go. I feel sorry for anybody that has that much hatred…

Of course the ahtletes are going to stick together. They have never had a problem. It’s the folks on the periphery, some of the has-beens, and some psychopaths that just have to continue to stir up dissention and hatred.

Oh well, they’re but a speck of dirt in the overall scheme of things…

KHP but,not London? why?

Anky is obviously thinking of something other than length of travel:eek:, and possible problems with the heat /:sadsmile: humidity here ( KHP), anybody have any ideas?
