Christmas ideas for dogs!

What do you get tour dog for Christmas? I need some ideas!

I dont know what a tour dog is…but I get my pup some new toys (soft and squeaky ones and tough ones)

if he needs a new bed I will get it after christmas and wait for sales.

This year pup is getting a blanket, he finally stopped growing.

I make organic dog goodies and beefcakes so he will get his own christmas dinner

My dog gets bully sticks and leftover turkey meat

Tessa’s not interested in toys, but she does love to eat!

My dog gets a new toy every year, and she gets some of our ham and the fat as her own Christmas dinner.

Every dog in my immediate family (my parent’s dogs, my sisters dog) gets a toy of their preference from my dogs for christmas. My dogs each get a sweater (don’t judge, it’s cold up here!) and a new toy of their preference (The little poodle prefers squeaky tennis balls, my ‘feral’ poodle prefers floppy stuffed toys that he can wildly fling about). I also made home made dog treats for everyone last year.
Pet Edge is the cheapest dog supply place I’ve found…

Last year my dogs were gifted 2 beds, a discovery kids tent with attached tunnel, a regulation agility tunnel, assorted organic treats, leather collar/leashes, and a few toys each. Everything that can be wrapped is and things that can’t be wrapped are put in gift bags with lots of tissue paper. They have a ball tearing into the wrapping and pulling stuff out of the bags.

I just give mine gifts stuffed with paper as a gift: the fun of tearing everything up is better than actually getting anything. They get “gifts” all year round anyway, as the need arises or the cute toy is spotted on sale.

TREATS!!!

new toys ( stuffed) and treats. this year i was told about Himalayan Yak milk treats. they are chews like Nylabone i guess but safe for the dog to consume. i have not tried them yet, but have them here for their stockings.

Mine are getting really nice double-sided reflective leashes and nice padded reflective harnesses.

Then I am sure there will be a few toys and some treats under the tree as well.

My dog would be happy with a bag of empty water bottles…hehe. Actually, she will probably get some bones from the pet food store or deer antlers, some type of squeaky toy and some other treats. My dog is spoiled though and has quite a few toys already. She loves playing with the squeaky ones and recently I found a painted canvas one that has a cat’s head with a catapiller body and a cat’s tail. It has a water bottle in it and makes lots of noise. She has the noise maker toys down to a science. She grips with her teeth to squeak and runs thru the house across the hardwood floor and every few steps, she pokes the toy on the floor to make it squeak. If she can’t find her water bottle toy, she will find a bottle in the recycling bag in the kitchen or if outside will pull one out of the bin. Her other fav toy is the cardboard center from toilet paper rolls. She gets those either out of the bathroom waste basket or from the recycling in the kitchen. She loves to fling them around and bat them across the floor, then chews on them.

Have you seen the plush toys that you can put an empty water bottle in??? My dog loves the sound the bottles make but I’ve discovered it’s really the plastic he wants. So now I can’t let him out of my sight if he has one and the minute he starts to chew on it, I have to take it away. (His other favorite thing to do is throw up tiny pieces of plastic on my bed at 5am  )

Presents for them? My dogs are getting ME a Kindle this year. :D;)
