Has anyone ridden in a clinic with Richard Spooner? I am just wondering what to expect if I was to sign up for the clinic. I have a bad back so I typically like to try and avoid clinicians who have the riders do excessive amounts of no stirrup work. Would love to hear feedback! Thanks!
One of my students and I are heading to a USHJA Gold Star Clinic with Richard Spooner Dec 27-31, which she “won” a spot in as part of her winnings at the Zone 1/2 jumper finals. I will be happy to report my findings! We have been told that his clinics are incredible.
If you have an Eq Sports Net subscription, you can watch all the sessions from the Gold Star clinics he did last year. He looks like a fabulous clinician!
Sorry for the late reply! I have also won a spot at a gold star clinic from jumper championships. Just trying to decide if I should participate, it would also be a long haul for me to either of the last 2 clinics offered.
Mrs_Beasley - How was the clinic?! Can’t wait to hear!
I am an Amateur rider and I would love to attend one of the last 2 clinics offered but don’t want to be the oldest person there! lol!
I would love to clinic with Richard if ever he came to Ontario.
I rode in a clinic with him and it was great. Lots of focus on the bend of the horse and the flatwork associated with him. Loved his approach and genuine love and respect for the horses. Would clinic with him again in a heartbeat.
