Clip My Horse/USEF Network: so confusing

I am in my 2nd year of a USEF “Subscriber” level membership. Last year, I was able to watch live streaming of events like Spruce Meadows. Today, tried to do the same, and get messages that I need to subscribe/register… I am registered, have a CMH #, have a USEF #, and don’t seem to be able to get connected.

Has something changed here?

No, the website continues to be extremely difficult to navigate. Here’s 2 ways that may work. Under events go to the correct date (last Sun) and see if it shows up that way. The other way is to type in the search tab Spruce Meadows Pan American. It will get you sort of there. It is a PITA to navigate and I’ve complained until I’m blue in the face and they just do nothing! And their rates are going up a lot this year. :frowning:

And prices are going up for next year … even though I feel like I need to watch more ads more often and quality and accessibility has decreased.

There appears to be a rift in the matrix! If you go to Worldofshowjumping.com and use their menu for Spruce Meadows results you can now watch individual videos. There are treasures to be found.

Even people who pay for the CMH full membership get those messages saying you aren’t logged in or need to pay. It’s very annoying.

Not to be dramatic but CMH is ruining my life :joy:. How am I supposed to be a fan of the sport when I can’t even SEE the sport?!

Seriously!? Wow! It looks like USEF’s model is to get a big membership and boost the viewers in CMH’s platform. Umm. That would require viewers. Annoying.

Let’s hope that’s not the plan because usually if you want to bring in new people to something the cost should be as close to free as possible. And CMH certainly isn’t that.

The USEF/CMH connection has literally never worked for me. My friends are tired of hearing me complain about it, but it’s just so maddening!

I am completely bewildered here. Trying to watch the live events now, like from Traverse City. I log into my USEF account, go to the CMH site, which shows my account information, and then… get a screen that I have to Register. Umm, I am registered and logged in with my USEF account AND my CMH account. CMH never responded to my request for help. USEF told me how to access. Umm, that’s what I was doing… I give up!

I don’t have any helpful advice. All I can say is you are not alone.

I’ve been a USEF member since long before there was such a thing as a live stream from a horse show. But I still can’t get it to work half the time.

And when I do get it to work, I couldn’t tell you why it decided to work that time. :woman_shrugging:

@MHM, thanks! What an aggravation. And it’s worked perfectly in the past :(.

Sometimes if you go to the horse show website itself, you can watch the live stream there directly without having to involve Clip My Horse.

It’s not always an option, but sometimes it works.

This may not be relevant also, but I find that I have to only be logged in on one device at a time. It does take a long time to get a help desk reply but they are in Europe and my questions come up on weekends. Another thing, when I switched from Comcast/Xfinity to T-Mobile internet, the stream got better. (Not giving anyone a plug here, just saying. . . )

You can definitely only watch on one device at a time with Clip My Horse.

If I try to switch from a phone to a tablet or whatever, the first one stops, and I get a message saying it’s because I’ve logged in with another device.

Only one device. Desktop. Chrome browser. I’m in an infinite loop. Sigh.

Try a different browser. I could never get it to work on chrome but Firefox was fine :woman_shrugging:t2:

I did get a response from CMH and also from USEF.

With the USEF “Subscriber” membership, you can access content that has a USEF notation next to it (CMH provided a screenshot to show how this appears).

A-ha! BUT I am not really convinced until I get a chance to try it.

Are you talking about with the USEF membership? I caved and kept a CMH annual membership and have been able to watch on two devices at the same time without issue.

Yes, I meant with the USEF membership.
