ClipMyHorse TV

I took the 30 day free trial for WEG and was just about to cancel it, but they are showing Boekelo live this morning.
Now I am considering keeping it.
Does anyone know whether 4/5* events such as Badminton, Burghley, Pau may only have live stream be available on ClipMyHorse?

As for Boekelo, i think there have been two horse falls and two rider falls at the last fence on XC. WTH??

I don’t know for sure, but Badminton and Burghley seem to have their own separate subscriptions so I would not expect them to be on ClipMyHorse.

Pau will be on Horse & Country again this year

I will try to cancel.

hopefully I am not too computer stupid to figure out how to do it.

I would consider paying the $160 or so for a year in the future if they are live streaming one of the few events that I would like to watch.

FEI Eventing has a replay that is available now. I’ve signed up for nothing.

it appears I really am that stupid.

i received an email from ClipMyHorse that my free trial was ending and telling me that I will be charged for the membership if I do not cancel. this email does not contain info about cancelling…

i cannot figure out how to cancel after the 30 day trial

any advice appreciated.

Ugh. They had a reputation for being difficult to cancel in the past, but I assumed they had improved things in light of the new laws in Germany.

Read through this and then see if you can find the

easy, straightforward ā€œcancel buttonā€ option for terminating a subscription.

that they are required to provide. And if not, write to their support and complain!

You aren’t stupid, they are a PAIN to cancel with! Per their terms and conditions (https://www.clipmyhorse.tv/en_US/terms):

To exercise your right to cancel, you must notify us (ClipMyHorse.TV Operations GmbH, Wandersmannstr. 68, 65205 Wiesbaden, Germany, Tel. 0800 100 4042, Fax +49 (611) 36080-19, support@clipmyhorse.tv) of your decision to cancel this contract; you must do so by means of a clear statement (e.g. letter, fax or email).

Do this now and DO NOT procrastinate. If you are past their 14 days after trial they will (or at least used) to charge you for the full year if you didn’t cancel their specific way.

ETA: They have this posted on their site as well, do you see a cancel button? https://help.clipmyhorse.tv/hc/en-us/articles/115004286109-How-and-when-can-I-terminate-my-contract-

I was able to cancel easily. I couldn’t figure it out on heir site, but I sent them an email and they were very gracious. But I agree, DO IT NOW!

Do you know if they are broadcasting the le lion young event horse championships? They did last years I think and I’m debating keeping my membership ( not canceling the 30 day trial) because they do show quite a bit of European eventing,
Including boekelo last weekend

I sent them an email this morning to cancel. I could not find the ā€œcancelā€ option on the website. My 30 days ends on Oct 14th. I may well choose to subscribe in the future for the annual membership if that is the only coverage of Olympics, WEG or 5* events.

I went through h*** with them when they ignored my cancellation request and automatically renewed me anyway. But my CC on file had expired, and since I had requested cancellation (before the renewal date), I ignored a few emails asking for an updated CC. And then got a letter in the mail that they were suing me.

I thought - hah, if they want to spend the money to sue me from Germany all over a measly $100, then let them bring it. So I ignored the letter and a couple of follow up nastygrams. And they eventually went away.

I signed up again last year for trial to watch a particular event, and again had trouble cancelling. There was some blurb buried deep in their website to click on a link to have a cancellation form sent to me, and I tried it multiple times but never received the form (was supposed to come by email). But they did deactivate my password, so I know they had received my cancellation request. And then I could no longer log in to request the cancellation form again.

I ended up emailing them but by the time I got a response, the grace period had passed and they had charged me for a full year.

I’m told they operate according to German law, but in my book, their policies are designed to fleece as many people as possible. Buyer beware.

Not sure about WEG, but the Olympics and several 5* are not on CMH. Burghley and Badminton have their own subscriptions now. K3DE and Maryland 5* are on USEF with a $12.50 yearly fee (with a code which is readily available). Luhmühlen and Pau are a Horse & Country subscription.

Slightly off-topic, but I have really enjoyed the Academy sessions on CMH - so much so that I am keeping my subscription. There is a ton of content from top riders and I’ve learned so much in just the few days I’ve been watching. I’m a visual learner, so while I love RideIQ this is a whole new level of ā€˜virtual’ learning - it’s like auditing a clinic!

Did you notice the tack failure on Ugliotti horse at Boekelo? You can see it as he goes through the water and then again on the approach to the final fence (where the horse nearly fell and rider fell off). Maybe part of a martingale dangling from her belly. Commentator didn’t mention it.
