Looking for advice on where to train for distance rides in the CNY area… we only have 20 acres so we would love to find some state trails to train on for 25mi competitive trail rides/hunter paces etc. Oneida/Morriville/Cazenovia Area would be great but can travel farther.
I kept my horse in Caz for a few, wonderful years and my friends up there would sometimes take us out to go ride at Highland Forest. It was magnificent! Looks like it’s only seasonal though.
Thanks I’ve rode Brookfield once and heard of Highland but never been out there.
I was spoiled living in NJ as the rail trail system backed up to our property and did not require hauling to ride… I will miss it
