Cob Length Reins w/ Good Grip & Stops?

I’m finally going to replace my reins after 11 years. I have a cheap set that came with my first dressage bridle that I bought from Smartpak (Harwich/Smartpark Brand). They’re 54".

I’m looking for the following:

  • Cob length: currently working in between the last two rein stops after switching to a different bit. I think pony length may be a problem when we’re working on the buckle.
  • Grippy: I have a lot of issues with letting my reins slowly slip
  • w/ Stops

Am I looking for unicorn reins or do they actually exist?

Lumiere makes rubber reins with stops, and I’m pretty sure they do cob length.

I took the stops off of mine, but they are pretty decent everyday reins (I do like my Bobby’s rubber reins better).

Vespucci Edwina Jumper Reins. They have a cob length. Best reins ever!

Ps of Sweden makes a cob length, extra stops, leather top, grippy bottom extra thin rein in brown and black. By far the best rein I’ve found for my sad injured hands

Hinterland make a few types of reins with stops, including grippy rubber ones. They call their smaller length “pony/cob” but I’ve used it on big horses so I would say it’s definitely cob length.

These are my absolute favorite, although they have other lovely reins on their site as well: https://www.evoequine.co.uk/store/p158/Luxury_Dressage_Soft_Grip_Block_Reins.html

Love these. They come in a 54" https://ridecorrectconnect.com/collections/reins-2/products/cushioned-comfort-rein?variant=43498931028200

Might want to look into all the rein options with Correct Connect! They have some really cool reins.

YES! These are the absolute best
