Positive for Clen Buterol. You can say NYRA is strict and Clen Buterol is a good drug or whatever, but NYRA has it more right than 99% of other jurisdictions when it comes to punishing cheaters.
I knew it was only a matter of time before they caught Autrey using something. Now I’m waiting for Jamie Ness to get nailed.
I agree that it is great that he gets 30 days, but the horses will just go into an assistant’s name…
Take a look at Philadelphia Park standings from last year- they just had their banquet and trainer of the year was Edward Auwater. Now, we all know he took over the horses for Jayne Vaders when she got ruled off, but just as she wasn’t training the horses- she was only the name they run under- the same goes for Auwater.
Here is a guy who goes from winning maybe 1 race every couple years to winning 2-3 races a day! COME ON!
Everyone know that John Mcaslin is the trainer behind the scenes, but he can’t be touched!
Racing in many jurisdications is very corrupt and the higher ups seem to turn a deaf ear to it!

I wouldn’t hold your breath. Nobody is worried about nailing people for using SWT.
Ness is the epitome of someone relying on medications to win races. Why else does the guy struggle mightily to win with maidens? I’ve seen many go off at 6/5 or 4/5 or 3/5 and fail to get the job done. It’s one thing when you don’t have the best horse in the race, but when you have a maiden from Hawthorne dropping down 3 classes, that horse should walk over a field of maidens at Penn. I think it’s interesting how Ness moves horses up 10 lengths who are 8 years old, but maidens fail under his regime. Anyone have any theories as to why?

Hmmm… can we say Goodbye Pain and old class horse becomes good again!!
Another note on Autrey, it’s interesting how a super trainer gets brought down to earth with a detention barn. He’s 4 for 36 at the meet - a good record for many in this world, but not for someone of the caliber of Autrey who frequently claims and drops them right away.
Could it possibly SWT:no::rolleyes:
Why am I not surprised about this? Long overdue.
SWT? What’s that?
