Does anyone know anything about Colonial Downs reopening? I know it was sold, but can’t seem to find any information about any recent developments.

PLans are to run a summer meet in 2019, maybe a jump meet (one day, maybe 2) in the spring.

Ugh. Hate that place. Horrible racing and the traffic is even worse.
Good course. Nice facility. Racing’s as good as anywhere not top-tier.

New CD owners are pinning their hopes on historical betting machines as an added gambling enticement, but the real problem for them is lack of horses. The VA thoroughbred industry has been devastated and it is unlikely MD, WV, and PA horsemen will invest themselves in a second tier program when their states already provide for that.
