Colorado Horse Park is Truly Dead

Contrary to what seems to be folks supposedly “in the know,” COHP is NOT hosting any events or shows anymore. In the eventing side, the folks at Archer have already put out notices looking for help in order to take COHP’s date for the event so Area IX will not loose another HT. The local h/j association has an emergency meeting to figure out how to keep some sort of circuit alive. There is no calendar of events after February.

This is a simple FYI if anybody had COHP as a possible competition this year.

Someone representing the park had my post about the news removed from a Facebook page by contacting the admin saying I was spreading rumors. Careful!

Hardly business-like behaviour.

Considering I was involved with of the group (the local eventing association) trying to keep COHP running, they can come after me all they want.

They didn’t transfer the contracts. They don’t have the management, e.g. organizer, and it is publicly known that Archer is going to run in their dates.

Wow. COHP has handled the communication very badly. But if they are really all the way kaput, it may not matter to them. One would think they would have more respect for the local horse communities they relied on for so long.

Very, very sad to hear this. Even as a spectator it was a fun destination event.

Just got an email that Langer is putting on H/J shows there this summer and fall. Doesn’t help on the eventing side, but seems they at least have something planned.

Yep, huge announcement of a 6 week series by Langer

I just got that too. CHJA is still holding their emergency meeting.
