Comparing Back On Track to Lux (Luxor?)

I’ve only used BOT items, which are very satisfactory, and also very pricey. Lux has the same type of items for horses and dogs at a price that’s considerably less for what I want to buy this time.* The only place I’ve seen that carries Lux is Schneiders, and I think you can also order directly.

Comments on Lux vs. BOT would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Well why not compare the scientific studies supporting each?!

That’s a good idea! I don’t know if there are any, but I’ll look.

I think that is VXF’s way of saying that there is no scientific proof that any of that stuff works.

I do not know about the other brand. I have some BOT items and they have served me well.

I am glad you made this post. I too was wondering how Lux compared to BoT. I love BoT, but they aren’t cheap!

Recently I just picked up Rambo’s version of the BoT quick wrap boots. I don’t particularly love them, but what I am trying to treat might not be helped by them anyway.

I’ve been looking around at reviews* and haven’t seen good reports on the Lux products. Didn’t know Rambo made any such products–but I’ve not had good luck with Rambo blankets (could very well be caused by the horse who was wearing/shredding them).

My big dog is aging and has problems with his lumbar and stifle areas. Since whatever BOT is doing seems to work for me and the horses, I guess it will pay off to stay with them.

*The only vaguely scientific reports I found on any of these types of healing treatments were before & after use results published by the particular mfgr…

Say no to Lux. Notice how few Lux reviews are on the SSTack website? That’s because they sensor/exclude the negative ones. I tried a pair of their no-bows, and sent them back as soon as I had opened the package. They were thin, cheaply made, and had loose seams right out of the package

I’ve found the Back on Track stuff to be really well made. I’m happy to pay that much for such a well constructed, well wearing saddle pad, voodoo or not
