Competitions, what are you wearing this year?

I thought this could be an interesting thread and perhaps more “light” in comparison to some other topics that have come up lately.

What are you and your horse wearing this year?

Colors, brands, styles, etc.

You can include your bridle, saddle pad, helmet, boots, whatever you’d like. Some of the colored jackets really look sharp.

No competitions in my area yet, so haven’t gotten myself together …but I should probably get on that.

I don’t know that I’ll be showing this year, but I’m excited to have an AA Motionlite jacket for the hot days. Mine is navy with some lighter blue accents and just happens to match a custom Mattes pad I bought last year. I’ve switched over to MIPS helmets, so I might spring for a CO MIPS helmet in navy, though that might be overkill on the blue? Hoping a brown MIPS helmet will be available soon since I have brown boots and think that would look sharp.

Ooh, I just got my UVEX MIPS in the mail today. I ordered it in December. The fit is the best out of all the others I’ve tried so far. Idk why I’m so hard to fit.

I can’t help but look at the helmet and think it’s so cheap feeling and looking. I prefer the fit of my non MIPS Uvex and the quality.

Most MIPS helmets are too shallow and/or round. Even when they claim to be oval. I got a big 'ol football head.

Thanks, I forgot about that one. That model didn’t fit me very well sadly. But I think helmet manufacturers are going to be making MIPS more standard, so there should be more options soon. I’m riding in the TV Lynx currently.
