Competitive HJ Barns in SF Bay Area w/ leases, good for kids?

Hi all, I’m an eventer popping over to the HJ chat to help some non-horsey parents find a new barn for their good riding tween.

My friend is looking for a step-up barn in the SF Bay Area. She’s hoping to find a barn within 1.5 hrs of her (they’re in El Cerrito/East Bay) where she could lease a horse that her daughter could progress on. Currently they’re jumping quite small (more technical stuff) and she’s on an older lesson horse. They’d like to be more competitive and go to rated shows - I have no idea how the ratings work (A vs B, no idea), but right now they’re only doing small schooling shows.

There are actually quite a few. Off the top of my head the competitive h/j barns that come to mind are Kelly Maddox in Pleasanton, Denize Borges (Crystal Image Farm) is in Sunol, and Reagan Smith (North Peak Farm) is in Walnut Creek. Danielle Smith is teaching out of La Jolla Eq Ctr in Pleasanton but I do not know the name of her barn.
