Compression tank/bra

The shorter Cheata comes up a little on the bottom, but not enough to bother me.

It IS a compression bra - so ‘sausage’ is defo the look.

I mostly have pain issues w/ other bras, so can’t compare to things like the Enell. That one didn’t fit me at all.

You CAN return to dressage extensions, altho I’m sure it is w/ tags on and not worn. They dont come under the ‘underwear is not returnable’ policy.

RE: getting more wicking - a 150 weight wool long t-shirt does wonders under EVERYTHING in the winter!

Thanks, CDQ and Tt.

DDD here. I use the Soma 3 inch minimizer bra. They do not move at all while riding when I use that, something i can’t say about most sports bras. They go up to a G size, I think. Bonus is that my show coats fit better!

Hands down the Lynx Zoom bra. Www.lynxsportswear.com. It comes in larger cup sizes, holds the girls in place without strangling you and is not nearly as hot as the Enell.

Another 2 to add to my list. Soma and Lynx Zoom. The Enell is great, BUT… it’s sweaty at times.

For those who have problems with the Enell not wicking, I finally tried putting a SmartWool liner bra underneath the Enell. I will know better how it works in the summer, but the liner has eliminated the clammy winter sweat problem for me. Much more comfortable. Even though I’m bigger than the SmartWool size L (I’m 34G), it’s super stretchy so everything fits. I would never, ever, wear it on its own, but as a liner it’s perfect. http://www.smartwool.com/shop/women-clothing-sportsbras/womens-phd-seamless-liner-bra-sw0so164?variationId=494
You are a genius. I’m trying this. I don’t mind the non-wicking fabrics when its hot but skiing in the winter? I’m pretty sure I’ll eventually die of hypothermia due to the large wet thing strapped to my chest.

Panache makes a sports bra that is pretty good, but not as good as the Enell for bounce. The panache has some advantages over the Enell tho, including overall comfort, fun colors, and a wicking sports material. It has rings in the straps that hook together to make it a racerback, which really ups the support factor, and you can just pop them open when you are done riding for comfort.

I got my first one at an Intimacy bra shop where they fitted me, and now order them from Amazon. They do not hold up as well as an Enell, but at least at the end of the day, I do not feel like I am being cut in half.
I have a small torso but heavy “girls”! I wore the Enell for years as it was the best bra I’d found for riding, but then I bought the Panache bra in the link above and LOVE it! Would not go back to the Enell.

The Panache is the first bra that I’ve ever owned, other than the Enell, whose straps did’t slip down my shoulders! And I don’t even have to make it a racerback! And I love that it doesn’t give you “uniboob”! So it’s more comfortable (and attractive) to wear. And fits better under my show coats.

The couple I have also have held up better than the Enells. So I guess your mileage may vary based on personal experience.

Sizing-wise, to get the right fit, I had to go UP a cup size but DOWN one size in the torso measurement.

CHEATA Trotting compression bra/tank

I ordered the bra, but discovered when I received it that it requires a second person to put it on. Unless you have a “ladies maid” I’m not sure how to get it on.

Any thoughts?

Does the tank just slip on?

The cheatas both hook the same way.

There is a 4" pull loop on the zipper to zip it up with.

Sheesh. OK, I’m not that large but I have a wide wide rib cage.

I need a bra with a smaller cup size- like a B or C and doesn’t strangle me. My ribs hurt and my back hurts from the bras I have been able to find that immobilize. I usually end up wearing 2 sports bras, and it’s soooo uncomfortable.

If I can’t hook the bra up in front, I just don’t seem to have the dexterity to manage doing it in the back. Usually I hook them all up and just slide them over my head. Or go with front zipping type bras.

I wasn’t surprised to see in the last USDF magazine an article about how uncomfortable riding is for many woman. I’m not that large, and it sure is for me!

Is there some store where one can go to be properly fitted? That would be a godsend!

The cheata people have a front zip bra that they will have more of in Feb - or so I’m told.

It doesn’t have as much support, tho. I am a C/D and think it will be plenty of support based on the rear zip one.

I’ve had as many issues trying to get ‘fit’ properly as just trying a bunch of things by myself.

One of the mid-support underarmour bras is OK in the rib department, but doesn’t have quite enough support for me. Might work OK for a b/c.

Yes! Only compression bra I can wear that doesn’t give me a raging headache or make my back hurt. Good support, too.

Right now the fabric on the tank rides up so the extra $ for that isnt worth ut.
FWIW, the NY Times Sunday Styles section has a funny article about Spanx, and according to the experts, compression camisoles ride up if you put them on over your head. The correct way is to step into them, and voila, no roll ups.

You may all end up throwing things at me but have you tried the Title 9 “Bra Book” catalog (online)? Many sports bra options and the services is very good; answer questions in advance and excellent with returns, changes, etc. Everything guaranteed, no questions asked. I’m not that big but have also never been very firm, and Moving Comfort stopped making my fave. I’ve had good luck with Title 9.

Carry on.

A big vote for Panache from me as well. Comfortable enough to wear every day and give a flattering shape, but nothing moves. I’m an E cup on an hourglass figure. I just use the bra as normal for riding, but I’ll hook the straps together to a racerback for any bouncy type of exercise. I’ve found mine last for a very long time. They fail where the shoulder strap joins the front, I guess from the way I put it on, which is to do it up around my waist and then slide it up. A few stitches gets a few more miles out of it.

Bumping this in hopes that more women have tried the Cheata Trotter in the last couple of months and will give a review. My ribcage to bust ratio is just not a match for Enell sizing. I can’t get the proper breast compression unless I wear a band size that’s too small. It’s painful and I’m sick of it.

I have the longer tank cheata and like it very much. I did watch the online video regarding how to put it on and it’s quite easy. And I can do it myself, no lady’s maid needed.

I was in between sizes and opted for the larger --fits just fine. The bra part is definitely compression but not the lower part of the tank. I do think my show jacket fits better with the Cheata. Sitting trot is great

By the way, I wear a 40 DD in regular bras. Ordered the xl Cheata
Dressage extensions today me returns were ok

Thanks, Magicboy (and for your sizing note, too!). Did you happen to use the Enell before and, if so, how does it compare? I guess if you love the sitting trot, it’s all good. I’m going to order.

Love the Panache.

I’m a barn manger, so I need a sports bra to wear all day every day, and the Panache is great. It’s comfortable and doesn’t get impossibly tight around my ribs or dig into my shoulders. It’s molded to give you a flattering-ish shape so I can wear it to meetings on campus without a uni-boob.

I’m also a 28G so I need lots of support, and it does the job. If you think trotting is bad, try riding an old tractor for a couple hours. When I need it to do heavy duty work, I just clip the straps together to make it into the racer back and it gives a ton of support. Then I can up clip them for the rest of the day.

For sizing, I find it pretty right on. If you’re between band sizes, size up. I like my regular bras tight in the band so usually wear a 28, but it’s too tight in the sports bra so I wear a 30. But I would probably measure closer to 30.

I tried the shorter Cheeta and the straps were too short and unadjustable. However I am very tall and broad shouldered so I think they would fit any normal sized woman. I also think I could easily go up a size and I may do that. Right now I am not allowed to order anything else online until I return the giant stack of stuff on our couch. It s so much more fun to order stuff than to pack it up and ship it back. But soon I will try it and report back.

One thing to consider if you have support issues is breast density and firmness. I am well endowed but really have no issues riding in a nomall lace unlined bra because of the density/ shape. I can run without pain too but it looks like something from Benny Hill. Basically: I need them squashed down in a compression type bra, other people need them lifted up in a individual cup type bra. I will thank the bra savants at Bravissimo in London for explaining that to me. If you more endowed ladies are ever in the UK, set aside a half day to shop there. You can get button down shirts in cup sizes. It’s truly life changing.
