Congratulations to Chef and the CANARY BREECHES!!!

Miss Chef and her darling Jade were Reserve Champions in the AA Hunter Classic in HB on Saturday.

Miss Chef was sporting a lovely topper and her CANARY TS breeches, which looked wonderful. Both times she was on course, the fashion contingent part of the crowd ooohed and aaahed about the canary breeches, and said how nice the “classic look” was.

cutelilpony, canary is approximately the background color of the BB, at least on my computer. It is also the color the rule book says to wear. Puke-green is not mentioned.

I want canary TS’s!!! WAHHHH! Where can you find them? I love my rust TS’s…in fact, you can count on my wearing them at least one of my 2 days at STARZ~ & I will be sure to get pics! Personally I think they will look quite smashing with my new dyed “Cocoa Krispy” brown shirt! Oh, yeah & please tell me if I’m committing a major fashion faux pas~ but I always get my TS’s creased down the front at the cleaners~ is this a no no? SUZ

Chef’s, not Rodney’s…

Though I am old enough to have seen (and worn, argh) plenty of those mighty flares!!

Pleeeeze will someone tell me how to get a pair like Chef’s!!?!?!??!?

Flashbacks to childhood Black Melton coats, too.

Congratulations, Chef!

It was fun to have you cheering us on!

Pictures will follow shortly!

Finding these breeches was NOT easy. I have been keeping my eye out for a pair for about 8 years. Most of the current ones were made specifically for hunting so they either flare or are front zip and skin tight (neither the least bit flattering.) Well Merry had told me about a discount tack store in my area so I went to browse. And there they were…bathed in a stream of light from the heavens…

A BRAND NEW pair of TS SIDE-ZIP CANARY breeches in MY size! (and they were about 1/2 price to boot!) This was the only pair, though.

I suggest someone try to contact TS and order some…these were on consignment from Connie Smith at the Outdoor Outfitters (mobile tack store) so the store doesn’t have anymore.

Chef, I love the canary breeches! Lovely pic! I am not showing at HB…still recovering from 2 weeks at The Oaks (me, Cypress, and my checkbook are recovering!). I plan to go on Saturday to watch the Musical Derby.

Somewhere I have my old canary breeches. I would pay money to be able to fit into them again…

A Picture of the Canary Breeches!

I will say after seeing the pictures that Canary can’t be the most flattering color (can it? ugh!)

Sure have missed those Canary breeches…and although not a personal favorite on ME…I loved rust breeches on my daughter as a youngun when she showed!!! EVERTHING OLD IS NEW AGAIN!

Hey, wheres the pic? Still uploading?

I may be dating myself, but I remember wearing canary breeches with the Black hunt coats. I still have my breeches, if only I could fit into em now? Hey w/this heat we are having, maybe I could with all the sweating I’m doin.

Congrats Chef!!! Glad to see that little cutey got around so well. Bet you were beaming. I am assuming there will be pictures to follow…

“The older I get, the better I used to be.”

Congrats Chef! So where is the picture? Are you still in HB for this week also?

Way back when I had flared canary breeches. They used to have to be dry cleaned. One day they came back from the cleaners ironed with a crease down the front. AAAGH!

OK - Pic is up! I am playing hooky from work and am trying to use my sister’s computer.

AAJumper - I am not showing this weekend. Are you? Maybe I’ll stop by to watch the big classes over the weekend. We went last year - it is so much fun!

I WANT canary breeches!!! Can’t find them anywhere… in case I missed it, can you really still buy them from TS???

Oh, them canary breech are really nice! Love it

Thanks! That’s a nice color! The flared breeches thing someone mentioned does scare me a bit. Where ndo you put the flares - don’t they bunch up in your boots? Or did they wear their pants outside of their boots? Perhaps in the old days they all wore paddock boots??

But I can just see it…

Article 4.1 section B blah blah blah…

“All riders must be attired in puke green breeches with a TS logo prominently displayed. A fashionable jacket with coordinating shirt in a hot new color is also required. Rust and canary breeches are permitted in the “fossil” A/O hunter division only.”

(just kidding)

hehehe… the things that will change when us juniors get our hands on the rule book…

Wow! You and your horse are absolutely stunning! You look incredible, and your horse, what can I say? Perhaps you should add a warning to all to don sunglasses before looking at that shiney, glossy, BEAUTIFUL coat!
