Hi, looking for recommendations for consignment barns. Willing to look all over the east coast but the closer to NC, the better. I searched the forum for similar posts but the last I could find was very old. Thanks in advance for any recommendations!
If Kentucky isn’t too far, Melissa Collins does a great job with her sales horses. Small boutique consignment; she winters in Ocala now I believe.
Kristy Wilwerth in VA does a great job. https://picturesquefarm.com/ Most of the ones she gets don’t even make it to her website, and barely make it to social media, if at all, because she has a regular network of buyers and is good at making the match.

Are there still people taking full consignments carrying all expenses until horse sells? Those I was familiar with had to start charging sellers something along the way due to rising upkeep costs.

Loosely speaking, what are you trying to sell? Pony, hunter, jumper, green, made? Some people are very dialed in on one segment.
