Whacks are WAY too hard for anything besides punishing aggression. Not to mention the sawing reins. If the horse is too deadened to the aids, it’s time to step back and rebuild response sensitivity. It’s not technically difficult, but it takes time. Which I assume is why the horse is being whacked. Saving time.

- Judging needs to change, for those of us with average horses that don’t want to beat our horses into modern collection.
