Does anybody know where I can buy a converter so I can use a dressage girth with my western saddle? I know they exist, but my google ability only finds a converter that allows a cinch to be used with a dressage saddle not the opposite.
Riding Warehouse has them.

Why?
Cashel makes them.

I had some like this so I could use my English elastic ended girths with my western saddle – but none of the converters I’ve seen will be long enough for a dressage girth.
I have an itty bitty horse and a much fluffier horse who both wear the same saddle. Swapping western girths is a PITA if the off latigo ties on vs. buckles on…
I wasn’t able to get the link to open and couldn’t find them on the website
???
Western girths buckle on the off side.
You’re right. It looks like nobody is making these any more in the USA. I looked all over the place. You can find them in Australia and England though. Bummer!
I prefer to tie latigo knots on both the near and off sides. I don’t use off billets (when they fail, it’s a spectacular failure).

I may end up rigging a half breed off billet. DH and I both ride both horses and if he HAD to put a girth on he’s more likely to get it right. He’s a rider, not a horseman.
That takes like five seconds. Practice honey!
Nylon is always an option. Just buy quality gear and it will be safe and last. My off billet is probably 10 years old, same for my nylon latigo.
I’m also swapping stirrups, adjusting breast collars, and when time is short it’s a PITA. But thanks for the unsolicited ‘encouragement’
