I want to buy a nice warm doggie coat for a friends Corgi, he is a normal standard size Corgi. What size do I get?

Pembroke welsh Corgi or Cardigan Welsh Corgi?
Ask this in the Menagerie Forum. 
And what is normal sized? I have seen many sizes of Corgi’s. Pounds, girth, & length would help.

Hate to burst your bubble, but Corgis don’t need coats, especially warm ones…and not in California!
Mine are Pembroke Welsh Corgis and they wear the blankets from Saratoga Horseworks. There are a lot of oversized corgis out there. My girls wear 18" coats and the boy has a 20" that fit them well. The girls weigh 23/24 pounds and Trin is 29 pounds

Maybe not in California but they certainly do in Canada! They are usually find to go out naked and roll in the snow for hours but last winter was hideous, it was -30C every day for over a month and the poor pups were just so miserable I had to get them new coats so they could actually leave the house!

I have the shedrow plaid coat and it’s very very nice for the price. No help on sizing though, my dog is a big dog.

Ummm thanks for playing, why do you assume this corgi lives in cali? He lives in Illinois so i think my bubble is intact.
He is a Pembroke, thanks all for the help! I had another friend measure her little snausage and have a good idea of size now.
I bought a med. size for my Corgi girl years ago. She. refuses. to. wear. it. Even when it was fridgid cold here last winter, she would have no part of it. If I put it on her, she runs and hides, refusing to come out with it on. If I do get her out of the house, she gives me a pitiful look like she can’t move around because the coat is sooo constricting. She was perfectly happy to run around in the cold. She is average size for a Corgi, weighing in at 28 lbs.
