Corky's Pal, 1992 CalBred TB, by Habitony

Thought it might be worth a shot to post this here, in case anyone may know Corky or where he landed. He belonged to my folks and after 9/11 and my dad’s business tanked, they had to rehome all of their TB’s. I was going through a divorce at the time and could not have afforded two horses, or I would have kept Corky in a heartbeat. Level headed, well built, responsive, gentle stallion.

My Dad gave him to Jim Tice in Yorba Linda, CA to retrain and possibly find a new home. Ran into Jim last year and asked about Corky. He had sold him to a lady up in Idaho (?) and the last he heard, she was using him to breed barrel racers, for his speed and common sense.

Not sure if any of this is true, but I sure would love to know where he is, if he’s still alive, and how he is doing. He was a special horse and I still regret not being able to keep him during that time.

Here’s his pedigree if that helps: http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/index.php?query_type=horse&h=CORKYS+PAL&g=5&cellpadding=0&small_font=1&l=

Thanks for your time.

Bumping this up just because I’ve been thinking about him lately.

Bumping up because mom and I were talking about him yesterday. Obviously, he’s been gelded at some point (according to JC), but I’m hoping that means someone was doing something fun with him and that he had/has a good life.
