Cot Campbell

I’m sad to tell you that Cot Campbell passed away this afternoon (Sat Oct 27th) at his home in Aiken, SC.

Mr. Campbell pioneered racing partnerships through his Dogwood Stable, and campaigned many successful runners, including Inlander, Summer Squall, Storm Song, and Palace Malice.

He, along with his wife Anne, also support a variety of programs such as the Dominion Award and the Wounded Warriors Project.

Rest well.

Truly a visionary in the TB partnership concept.

Sleep well after a long and good life.

Another one of the greats is gone. I am glad he was inducted into the Hall of Fame while he could still bask in the enjoyment of his fellow race horsepeople.

My favorite line from his induction speech:

There are 24 members in the Hall of Fame. 23 of them are dead. You may not find that an important fact, but I do.
