I am using the last version of Firefox (haven’t updated yet) and I keep getting a server problem. It is only with COTH and no other web sites/forums. I go to quite a variety of web sites and have only a problem with COTH. I am macintosh base. This is something new and I’ve been on COTH since April and had no problems previously. Is something with COTH or is it me?
Are you still having this problem? Anyone else having similar trouble?

Yes, I keep having this problem, haven’t been on because I keep getting bucked off. It tells me that the server is not responding.

This is what I keep getting. The first two are ruled out, but the third might be a problem however didn’t have a problem previously?

Firefox can’t find the server at www.chronicleforums.com.

Check the address for typing errors such as
ww.example.com instead of
www.example.com-
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer’s network

If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

I’m able to load pages but it’s being incredibly slow. Is it just my computer or are there others having this problem?
This morning I had to give up, say 9:20am to 10:00am. 2/4/9
I am using the same computer that I always use, other sites were ok.
Too many users?
I only use the text (no image) downloads, so it wasn’t like I was pulling a lot of information off of the server.
We’re due for a thread purge, which often helps when things start getting creaky. I’m going to start on that tonight and hopefully that’ll do the trick!
If you’re still having trouble after a few days (sometimes we have to spread the purge out over a few nights), please report back and I’ll report the trouble to our IT folk.

Just an update. Still having the trouble. It’s Friday Feb. 6th. It seems less but still having trouble. Thank you!
I’m on Mozilla too, and keep not being able to get on at work on high speed. Mostly in the evenings. (EST)
I’m not the latest Mozilla at home, and am dialup and seem to not have issues there.
So I’m thinking Mozilla might be the culprit.
Sometimes (like this morning) I have a hell of a time with both Firefox and IE. First page or two will load just fine, then up comes “page load error” or “cannot find server” or some such. On other sites, when this happens as a blip (not a repeated problem), clicking “refresh/reload” fixes it, but not on COTH.
