COTH Member will be on the AQHA Select Show Live Feed Today!

I will be showing my first AQHA Ranch Pleasure class in a few weeks and have been watching a ton of videos to help prepare. Today the AQHA Select World Show will have live feed for the Ranch Pleasure Class. I pulled working order and to my suprise, the COTH member that owns Lavish Love is going to be competing! I am not sure what time but it will be today!

Here’s the link!

Right now trail is on and then reining and RHP will be last. On a side note, some of the trail horses are really moving out!

Some clients of the reining trainer I work with are showing today also, very exciting for all.

Ann is draw 37, and that should be in around 1.5 hours from this post. (They are on draw 41 of 67 in the reining prelims. ) Also in Ranch Pleasure pay attention to draw 24, Charlene Morgan, who I believe is leading the country or close this year - long time show mom to a roper family (Butch Morgan of Western Horseman Mag) now is having her days in the limelight. Please root for Ann and Lovey, though. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=556036247766481&set=a.142104302493013.15434.100000803311168&type=1&theater

LOL!! I thought it was you!I am rooting for them!!!

Thanks! And I just saw that 88 year old Suzanne Jones of New Mexico has TWO horses in this class. She is amazing! Correction: 89 years old, and she rode home ranch bred horses and did good !

They’ve definitely picked up the pace since the first few RHP runs I watched online a few months ago. Looks like a blast to ride in that class. I’m excited to see that APHA just approved it for their world show. So it should be included in their shows next year.

I’ve struggled to ride as slowly as the current trends have dictated. So this looks GREAT to me.

Watched the last 15 horses or so. Looks like a fairly wide open class at the moment. Loved seeing how many entries were using romal reins. Also loved the absence of “bling” which I personally find tasteless. I could do this class.

My friend Ann Hards made the finals with Lavish Love, which will be sometime in the middle of the day Wednesday. Nice class. Is “Little Red Sliding Hood” not the best name ever?

I loved that name! I was really surprised at how many spooked at the logs! I don’t think my horse would but I have found some natural logs that we can practice over in my trainers arena! I think it was because they blended with the dirt and maybe it was the only obstacle? Ann and lavish looked great and had a really good score! I hope I can watch tomorrow but I may be riding.

never mind question answered

One of our reining trainer’s students made the top ten in reining, will show in the finals this afternoon.

Good luck to all there!

Indy’sMom is a long time friend so I’m hoping she does well, and if nothing else, that she enjoys herself! I’ve known her riding both hunt seat and dressage prior to western. Here’s rooting for you!!!

So Ann and Lavish Love won 6th, with a couple small glitches. The winner was really good, twice, as there was a run-off. …http://www.aqha.com/Showing/Select-World/Classes/Ranch-Pleasure.aspxAnother Colorado friend, Gretchen Keller won the bronze for 3rd, and will also be in the Working Hunter class later in the week.

Thank you for posting the link. I have had fun watching. Especially this morning watching the trail which is my old event. Loved that they had a division for the over 70 riders. What is the intermediate division? Love that Tamara Kyle was showing in a plain white shirt and plain saddle. Shows you do not have to have the bling. I really do hate that super long draped rein in trail, however. And the super lowered head for everything. :frowning:

I bet Ann was excited!! Is she going to the WOrld Show in November?

The mare will be showing at the World Show in Nov in the Open division with the trainer. Ann will probably be showing her in Amateur Performance Halter. Yes, she is thrilled with her placing. I have loved that mare since she was born.
