Cotton string gloves

Calling all the savy online shoppers! :smiley:

Anyone know where I can buy these online? I bought a couple of pairs several years ago from the Tack Room Online (https://www.tackroomonline.com/) but I don’t see them on the web site anymore. I’ve tried a bunch of different gloves but with my reins, the grippiest things so far seem to be the cotton gloves.

Home Depot. (all that seems to be readily available in the US)
Did find this;

The trouble is that the crochet ones reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally stretch.

Thanks for the links! The first one looks like the ones I want. Never thought of wearing 'em over my thin leather gloves, what a great idea!

I checked out the link but it just goes to leather gloves. I tried to search cotton gloves but nothing came up.

Yeh, I’m ok with that though. I usually drop down a size to compensate.

I can’t get the website to work at all now, but they definitely have them.

I see a lot of ladies wear the cheap stretchy ones that are $1 at Wal-Mart or the dollar store.

Scroll down past the leather and there’s a crochet section.

Thanks, I’ll check out the TSC and Horse Country links :slight_smile:

Yes the link takes you to leather gloves first, you can scroll down or just go across to the left of the page and click on “crochet” and it takes you to them even more quickly.

Thanks!

We live in the Pacific Northwest where hunting means rain, and cold. My best gloves for my poor little hands were the deerskin ones for work - the yellow colour…seems they kept the warmth in better. String was just cotton and cold.

Yeah those are my everyday riding gloves but my reins are synthetic. When they get wet they are slick and can’t hang on to them. So far the cotton ones seem to give me better grip.
