Country Boot help!

I have a country boot dilemma :disappointed:

I live in my country boots and I put them through the ringer , 365 days a year. I ride in them year - round , muck in them - all of it. I love Country boots , but my expectations are high.

After absolutely destroying 2 pairs of Dublins in an unreasonably short amount of time I was left completely unimpressed by them. I also find they aren’t tall enough , top of boot catches on saddle flap and enrages me. I ride a chestnut mare , I don’t need extra rage aboard.

Someone on Facebook posted a pair of brand new but unworn country boots- ordered in wrong size. I took a chance and bought them….

MIDDLEBURGS - these boots have outperformed the Dublins over and over again for 3 years.
-They comfortably fit my wide calves .

  • the shaft leather is butter soft and conforms to my leg so perfectly but yet hasn’t been worn out by stirrup leathers.
  • they are actually TALL. I put them on , pull them up to behind my knee , tie the drawstring to keep them there (super soft boots will slouch otherwise) and they stay there all day !
  • the drawstring actually functions to keep the boot where I want it - because they are tall enough.
  • with my arch supports in I can (and have) walked miles in these boots beside a melting down ottb up in the bush.

I went to look up these boots and order them online to find 2 issues….

  • They were never really available in Canada (which is where I am).
  • they no longer seem to be available anywhere , at all.

WHERE CAN I FIND THESE BOOTS? Or what other options are there for a true , TALL, country boot built to withstand years of abuse?

  • my heart is breaking here-

Two pair listed on ebay.ca. Both sellers are in the U.S.

Pretty sure Middleberg was a Dover brand. They may have discontinued.
