Does anyone have experience with the County Solution Monoflap. I’d particularly like to hear what people think about it for XC?
I believe the Solution is a combination of the Sensation and the Innovation. I have the Sensation- which is also known as the “save your @$$” saddle. I always felt very secure in it, but not locked in place to where I felt restricted. Granted, I only jump bn/n, so it might be different for the big honkin fences.
I have the Solution Monoflap, and while I havent gone XC yet since its only arrived recently, I love the position it puts my in for jumping. My lower leg does not move, and I stay centered. Even when we take a questionable spot at a fence, Im not left fighting my own balance or the saddle to recover on the landing like my old jump saddle. Its an effortless, comfortable position for me ( I have an extremely long femur, and short torso so Im kind of like a real live T-rex lol). Money well spent for sure and I plan to do a lot of schooling and clinics over the next couple of months with it to really get a feel of the drops, wider jumps, etc. So far Im really happy with it.
Talk with Lainey Ashker via facebook, she rides in it and has a lot of great feedback. I talked to several eventers before I made the choice to purchase and they all had the same feedback about recovery, balance, and position.
I tried it out last week and loved it even though the demo was too small for me. I jumped around in it on some basic jumps and felt rock solid. I did have some questions for the rep and had not heard back from her. The main thing I wanted changed was removing the calf block and changing the front block to a pencil roll. I hate blocks!
