Cozmic One Running Today?

I got a note on my virtual stable for the 9th at Delmar for Sonneteer. When I looked up the race, I saw that Cozmic One is in it, too. They’re still trying on him? When do you decide a horse just doesn’t want to race?

Watch him beat me just for saying that, but I really think this one has expressed his opinion of racing thoroughly already. Ah, well, maybe they just like watching him run.

Sonneteer, now, I put $2 on. I still think he’s got a lot of talent and is going to put it together one of these days.

Looks like trying turf this time. Not overly optimistic on this one.

Sonneteer won, very professional and game, came through on the inside when asked. Cozmic One looked asleep for most of it but actually got rolling in the stretch, took 4th, and only missed 3rd by a whisker. Must say, Coz is a gorgeous hunk of a horse.

Thank you, Sonneteer. It’s rare for me to make an across the board bet, but I did, though still just $2. It’s more mental exercise for me than a real effort to score big bucks. Got back $12.60.

Both Sonneteer and Coz (in the stretch, at least) looked very comfortable on turf. Sonneteer has run well on dirt, too, but maybe this is an answer for Coz.

I had a sentimental “virtual” bet on Sonneteer

Cozmic One actually looked like he got his act together and had a reasonable finish (albeit 5th by the time he crossed the line).

I really love his pedigree. think this might help him on Turf. Perhaps Turf is more in his favor. best wishes for him

While we’re sort of on the subject, I saw somewhere that Ziconic evidently finished second in a race at Del Mar on Thursday or thereabouts. Maybe they finally figured them out–or changed the feed or something.
