Cracking in horses neck

hello!
Before anyone tells me to contact the vet: my horse is in no discomfort and when I ride him or lunge him he looks and is perfectly fine.

My my horse is 9 years old and is an ex barrel racer. He was ridden in a tie down. His neck cracks occasionally when he moves to face me or another object. He doesn’t show any discomfort or pain or anything it just cracks. Has anyone experienced this before with their horses or know what it is?
Thanks!

I guess it could be the same as cracking your knuckles.

Or it could be anything else.

I would have a chiro out and see what they say.

I have a vet/chiro who has severl times eliminated neck issues in one of my horses. Sounds like something’s OUT in the
neck. Not normal, IMO.
