Hard to tell if she is really long necked or if it is just the lack of groceries that makes her look that way…but I could imagine her being a gaited horse, too.

I can go look at a pasture near me (Green Cove Springs, 1/2 hr south of Jacksonville). Pasture is $200, (with stall and electric for a fan) but I would need some support for her food and vet bills until she gets on her feet.

She said no response to her FB posting about her plight. I just sent her an email with a couple of innocent (I hope) questions. We are only about an hour from Lake City.
Well, both were correct. Owner hasn’t responded to my email, and last night I hadnt gotten a response on facebook. I’ve since recieved a few comments and shares.
I’ve been advised to call law enforcement. Can they do anything of the horse has feed and water?
No. Please give the owner a chance to respond to me and then we can see. I will send you a pm with my contact info.
For anyone who will take her (yes I know it’s the upkeep expenses and vet bills, not the initial cost), I can either donate a sum of $ upfront, or do as I’ve done for several years with Always Funny, sending $10 a month. If enough people will do this, it will add up. But then people do drop out or have a change of circumstances, etc. So whomever takes the horse might get stuck with her expenses.
So if someone gets her, let me know if you want a one time donation or my monthly dribble of $10 for life of the horse…
This is why I do not look at the craigslist ads. It is too depressing to see the pitiful horses and other animals.

I did go and screen shot both ads and pictures. The original text ad stating “I just had a baby, can’t take care of the horse, she’s getting thin” has been removed or is expired. 
I don’t know anything about Columbia County AC, but they can’t do anything without an address.
I’ll also chip in a dribble. Will check back to see what is happening …

That’s wonderful…and a good choice on your part though she’s unfortunately not the worst I’ve ever seen.
