I like the “Winetasting” and “Ocean” colors, but yeah, I don’t do low rise. I have a pair of all-silver full seat breeches, I’ve worn them three times now and the full seat isn’t discolored or stained, they’re not ruined at all.
I wish I could find “cheaper” breeches that fit/feel/wear like my favorite Romfhs. At almost $200 a pair (and yes, I realize that makes them only “mid-range” in price!) I cannot have my drawers filled. I am not even picky about colors anymore. This is just a sad rant from a middle aged, shoe string budget, thick around the middle lady.
. Apparently, I’m a fan of bile. I’m in love with pine with rose gold. If that rose gold actually holds up it will be so gorgeous with brown boots on a chestnut.
That being said, I do think that most of the “new” colors are kind of cop outs. They are essentially the same as existing colors with new contrast. I would have loved a true cream, rich emerald green, and a pretty taupe.
I would love to find some cream breeches as well . . and pair them with a cream/ivory saddle pad with some navy and gold piping. . .
Don’t get me started on low and mid rise breeches. I have ranted and raved enough about my chagrin at the lack of decent “normal rise” breeches for the long waisted. I never shop at Smartpak because when it comes to breeches (and boots for that matter) they’ve not nuthin’ for me.
