Cream colored breeches

So much more flattering than blech white breeches! So much harder to find… The new SmartPak ‘Pick your Piper’ contest has an option for an Ivory colored breech - fans of cream colored breeches should vote early and often. I’m not going to post a link, because I don’t want to get in trouble with the advertising policy, but anyone with less than perfect thighs can probably figure it out.

I prefer cream, “champagne” or light beige breeches for showing. Yes, so much more practical and flattering than white! I’ll vote, too!

Huh. Looks like they’ve picked their winners and none of them are cream. Which of the breeches that Smart Pak offers is a high-rise cut? I dislike mid-rise and abhor the hip-huggers.

Lol I am getting the ad for it on this very page! Voting is May 11-15, and there is one that is ivory with tan seat.

I have a pair of never worn ivory Pikeurs…I think they are gorgeous but my horse has a lot of white chrome and I can’t get over the clash. ;).

Pipers fit like crap.

I’d like to see Romfh make the color in their much better material.

if you don’t like white, the hadley breech comes in a very attractive pale gray now.

Whoops! I use an ad blocker – so don’t see it!

What I would like to know is why isn’t a contrasting seat (gray or black) the default for white breeches? That seems 100% more practical and flattering than white on white, but it seems like only a few models in a few brands do this. Am I missing something? Does the color from the contrasting bleed?

Wish FITS made a cream or ivory one. Not yellowish. Just off white. Sigh.

I voted for the cream ones too! My trainer and I both have brown show coats and have been looking for cream breeches.

This is a new contest, the winning colors will be available at the holidays.

At the Olympics in Atlanta the German dressage team wore cream/ champagne breeches with dark green coats. They looked fabulous and the colors really contrasted nicely with the horse’s coats. So I am all for cream britches.

I just got that pair of Hadley breeches in the pale grey. The color is really quite lovely and I’m so impressed with the fit after hating how Pipers sat (gaped) on me.

OK, I found the contest and voted for the cream. Do the Hadleys fit like a high-rise or a mid-rise? Thinking the Pipers will not do for my body type…

Bleeding is one concern - particularly for black. Another reason I have heard is that riders don’t want anything contrasting visible when in the saddle.

Personally, I am with you completely. I would much prefer a grey, tan or black seat than an all white seat.

I can’t seem to find the contest… ? I’d love to vote for cream.

If you go to the SmartPak site it’s on the home page. Today is the last day to vote, I think.

Here is a link.

I can not imagine a way that this link can be considered advertising… I do not work at Smartpak.

And SmartPak just threw up ( and I use that term intentionally) the new holiday breeches. I am furious with them! Bile green - utterly hideous! The color of vomitus when you have nothing left to bring up but body fluids. The blue with the snowflake on the pocket would be OK, but the silver seats, are going to get dirty so fast, you could wear them to the barn once on Boxing Day morning, and then they will be ruined. And of course they cheaped out again and made them low cut. Flattering on their photographic models and no one else! Why SmartPak? Why? How stupid can you get?
