A local business does cremation jewellery. It’s absolutely stunning and more up my alley than typical horse hair jewellery. My horse is still very much alive and hopefully stays that way for the next 20 years, however, I was wondering if I cut a lock of mane would it create ash? Has anyone tried this? I know I could just attempt it but if someone knows it’s not going to work than I will put down the scissors, haha.
There are ceramic artists that use horse hair on Rakku ware and it makes a lovely design. You could have that done on a bowl or other ware. I had three of our horses’ hair to make surface design on some small rakku bowls and live them.
