The only thing with him…if a Mare Owner is breeding specifically to produce a dilute foal, he is also heterozygous grey. He is throwing grey foals out of solid colored mares…so he carries the grey gene…which makes sense as both his sire and dam are also grey. Unfortunately, it is quite common for the grey gene to “hide under” a double dilute coat. So, for those mare owners dreaming of a palomino foal, buckskin foal, etc., there would be a 50% chance of the foal turning grey. Personally, I think the grey Welsh Pony foals are pretty darn cute and everyone seems to want one on the hunter circuit! ;):yes:
