Has anyone seen him in the flesh, used him or what are your opinions?
Just curious what others think of him, some of his videos and snaps are impressive. i like his pedigree aswell.

Yes I have seen him in the flesh as a 4 year old at Gestuet Ligges. He was very well mannered (ground tied in the hall of the stallion barn), super rideability and movement. Very correct conformation, good feet, but also modern. At the time they were preparing him for the Bundeschampionat possibly to compete in both jumping and dressage.
Really nice horse, probably the nicest Cornet son.

Is it available in the US and what kind of quality is his frozen? Anybody know?
I purchased frozen semen from him last year.
Quality was so poor on thawing that I asked the agent if she could double check the thawing protocol. She came back with a slightly different protocol (38 degrees C for 10 sec) vs the 37 degrees C for 30 secs that she had originally emailed me.
Mare did not conceive. I asked for the dose to be replaced - agent refused. I don’t know if the thawing protocol was different enough to affect the quality, or if it was damaged in shipping - or something else.
I have one more dose - but not planning on using it this year.

I am 99% sure this isn’t an option. There is a different collection procedure and a quarantine that the horses have to go through for collection to be shipped to the US/NA. I believe that is why we can only get frozen. Clearly it wouldn’t be a big deal to ship overnight from Europe, as there are other businesses who do it, but it is because of the Ag nature of the product that it isn’t an option. Someone correct me if I’m wrong but I bet LOTS of people would use fresh from Europe if that were possible, even if it cost a lot for shipping.
Also, I’m under the impression that Clinton doesn’t have spectacular semen, and nor does CO, so I suppose it isn’t surprising that Cristallo wouldn’t either. However, he looks LOVELY in the pics.

That’s what I have been told aswell, but never wanted to believe. So is it true ? did you get fresh cooled ?
I don’t doubt they try to ship it. But whether it’ll arrive alive is a whole different story lol. It’s difficult enough to bring the swimmers into the US frozen. I wouldn’t even want to try shipping fresh semen into the US from anywhere in Europe 
Hoping to revisit an old thread. Anyone had success with Cristallo semen? Any pregnancies (or not)? His youngsters seemed to do quite well at the Bundeschampionate.
Hoping to bump this up! Any more experiences with Cristallo I semen? What types of mares is he best suited for?
