Anyone know where to buy the crochet wither pads? I bought one from Ocala and I believe I found it on Ebay. Ideally, I would love off white or white ones.
Thanks so much!!

Itty Bitty Equine Design in Ontario does them - you can get custom colours too.

They also make custom ear bonnets.
Why didn’t you call BOB if you were having technical problems? They have always been wonderful when I have called in orders or just to ask questions about a product. I’m sure they would have appreciated knowing you were having a problem ordering.

And I figured no one would answer a call on a Sunday morning. I have removed my complaint; maybe you can edit yours so there is no bad press.
Learn to crochet. Endless wither pads.

I deleted my post but I don’t think there was any “bad press” in it. I can totally relate to being crabby though haha. I hope you found your wither pads.
I got one from The Clothes Horse a while back. You could try them
MXY is the world champion crocheter. I bet she could make you some wither pads, and they would be really fancy.
PS: You are showing your age — Chrochet wither pads were a must have in the 1980’s. Maybe someone still has one they will sell.
Bit of Britain has them for a very reasonable price. I loved mine in the 80s and 90s and have been wanting one again. I tried crocheting, but I think a 3-legged llama could have crocheted better. I would check Bit of Britain (I’ve always had great luck ordering items from them) or just google “crochet pommel pads”

I thought the Bit of Britain one was too narrow. But I do have one in Navy/tan that I would sell you for $10 shipped if interested. I only used it for about a week before I found someone on eBay that custom makes them. I will have to look up their seller name for you. She did a fabulous job.

You have a PM.
Just curious, why do you guys prefer these to, say, a half pad with shims up front?
Wow, I didn’t even know people still used them! I still have one but never use it.
What is the purpose of these, if you don’t mind me asking? I’ve never seen anyone use them!
If you google crochet pommel pads, you’ll get more shopping hits than searching for wither pads.
I use mine to provide padding at the wither and lift the pommel ever so slightly without adding bulk under the shoulder. My old saddle tilted down slightly in front and the pommel pad helped. I know they were basically part of the uniform for many back in the 80s/90s.

A half pad is way more than my horse needs under the saddle, and shins are way more than I need in front. He just needs a wee bit extra.
I have one that I love and use from time to time. My horse changes shape throughout the year, so typically in the winter (when he’s lost a little condition), I like using it to lift the front of my saddle. I like that it doesn’t interfere with the shoulders.
I also got mine on ebay.
OMG . !!! I still have mine from years ago and it is in excellent condition. The best thing ever. So glad I never got rid of it . Good luck in getting one …
