Cross Post: Exciting Eventing Trakehner stallion now in USA! - ISSELHOOK’S FIRST SIGHT TSF

I am so excited about this!!! Such a fantastic young stallion!

From The American Trakehner Association:

The American Trakehner Association is pleased to join in the announcement of an exciting new Trakehner stallion that has been imported to the United States from Germany. Isselhook’s First Sight TSF (barn name “Goody”) is now in the United States, and the ATA is extremely pleased to have added him to its roster of active and registered Trakehner Stallions. He is by the stallion Lossow out the mare Fuenflinden, by the elite stallion EH Hibiskus. He will stand at stud beginning in the 2021 breeding season.

Isselhook’s First Sight’s new owner is Janine Shoffner of Louisville, Tennessee. In addition to being an eventing and dressage enthusiast, Janine is a Pro-Am GT3 endurance racing driver who has also competed in eventing at the FEI level. Isselhook’s First Sight’s new rider will be Alex Green of Knoxville, Tennessee, and Goody will reside and train at Alex’s Dry Ridge Farm. Alex is a nationally ranked three day event rider that has a proven record through the Advanced and CCI**** level. Alex has many achievements, including being named to the Under-25 Developing Riders multiple times since 2012.

Isselhook’s First Sight TSF has already made a mark as one of the world’s best young event horses. Bred in Germany by Simone Lindemeir-Trippel, and bought as a foal by Inge Weisskirchen of the Isselhook stud, “Goody” obtained his stallion approval from the Trakehner Verband at age 3. Under rider Sophie Leube, First Sight was the Champion five-year old of the German Bundeschampionat for young event horses in 2019, with an overall score of 8.4 (out of 10) including a score of 9.2 on the cross-country phase of the competition. In 2020, First Sight competed at the World Championships for Young Event Horses at Le Lion D’Angers, placing eighth out of a field of 38 of the world’s top 6-year olds, and only a rail out of 2nd place.

The ATA is very excited to welcome this stallion to its roster and to welcome his new owner and rider to the ATA family.

Can’t wait to see what he produces! He is lovely.
