I know that many regular posters do not venture to the Sport Horse Breeding threads, so I am cross-posting this to several of the other threads in hopes of getting more exposure and assistance.

FYI: There are rumors that Kate Ostermeier is now developing a partnership with a person in the racing/TB industry that goes by the name ‘Tres Delaforce’ and that they are planning to leave the state of Kentucky to pursue ‘business’ elsewhere. Ostermeier is already considered a flight risk on an open bench warrant in Kentucky and is being pursued legally on several different fronts. Please help the current and past victims of her deception, abuse and neglect by signing the petition and spreading the word! TYIA

Yes, I figured the name might stir some memories on this forum. From the research I’ve done, this person, in my opinion, is very like-minded to KO. I have found results of a grand jury trial for theft by unlawful taking as well as posts indicating a reputation for misrepresentation and neglectful care.

We have a common friend on FB. Now I need to figure out if this FB friend, who I’ve also met IRL - would be “in the know”. But she has also disbursed some TBs. For good. And probably wouldn’t try to get them back. I wonder if she gave away any mares…

Actually now, looking at Delaforce’s own FB thread - we have a lot of common “friends”, albeit some are more celebrities. But some not. I wonder how solid the rumors are about their “joining forces”? Looks like one to stay away from.

In my opinion, the rumors are pretty solid, unfortunately.

Anyone know more about this? Apparently Tres Delaforce was arrested and convicted of theft by possession in Kentucky 2012.

Seems like two peas in a pod though. This is Kate’s mugshot for an arrest in February. Wanted on open bench warrant and considered a flight risk for this right now.

Because the best job for someone like her is caring for other peoples’ horses and farms when she can’t even care for her own. Obviously. :eek:

I really hope people are doing their homework. A quick Google search on her name right now brings up all of the information they need to steer clear if they are smart!

She said she won’t give them her social security number until after she has been hired. I am guessing she thinks that is a requirement for a background check so she is safe.

I have spoken with the person Kate is supposedly partnering with, who stands a stallion who really doesn’t need to be a stallion and offers affordable racing partnerships. She did not give me a good gut feeling, so I passed on any future business opportunities. Seeing what has been brought up here, I’m glad I did.

More of the same from the partner mentioned above…at least they look in good condition (although one mare very thin with foal at side), but still going to auction from a breeding operation…

Help! These TBs are well-bred and have good pages. I bought these mares for this client two years ago. They need to land in the right homes. If anyone wants to know anything about any of them, I know these horses personally, including the stallion.
