Anyone here know any hunt clubs that would have events (fox hunt, hunter pace, cubbing) or even just events starting around the end of August and going through the fall? I’m a bit of a newbie in the hunting world so I’d like to find some more relaxed events if possible.

Check out the site for Tanheath Hunt. They do an intro to hunting clinic at Tyrone farm ( www.tyronefarm.com. Look on the site under equine events).
The clinic is a great way to learn about hunting and allows you to introduce your horse to the hounds. The Tyrone farm site also lists hunter paces.
Or come to Virginia for one of the newbie CotH hunting opportunities (see the other threads for more on that).

You don’t need a trailer, if you stay at Hunter’s Rest you can hunt on one of her made hunt horses. It’s a wonderful opportunity to experience hunting on a horse that’s “been there, done that”. You’ll be riding out with great people who can give your loads of information on hunting and you can also check out basset hunting and the fall races.
