Currently popular internet sites for selling horses (specifically broodmare)?

Life has gotten just too darned busy and I am selling my young mare. She had a foal at 4 and was lightly started but has now been standing around as I just don’t have time for her. I also have no time to be breeding anymore and if she stays I might succumb to the temptation to breed her again

She is an Oldenburg (GOV) and is approved for breeding by CWHBA so I was planning on listing her on warmbloodsforsale and the CWHBA site but I am curious about the other currently popular sites.

Someone suggested horseclicks, I had never heard of it. Are equine.com, dreamhorse.com and horsetopia still popular? I don’t see much reference to them anymore.

TIA!

agreed, have seen a few sold posts lately… IMO the “regular” horse for sale sites-- equine.com, horsetopia, etc, the broodmares are not as highly regarded as they should be…

Thanks for the tip, I had not heard of that group. I am on
FB occasionally so I will put something on there.

Thanks again!

I think another useful (and free) place to advertise a broodmare is ewarmbloods. I had good interest in a mare I advertised there last year.

I tried to sell my broodmare.
I received a TON of hits from people asking for her as a riding horse.

I’d suggest not marketing her specifically as a broody.

Check out the Facebook page that I just created!

Mozart, can you email me some info on your mare, bloodlines, etc. Thanks

I’m considering offering custom foal embryo transfers from my 2 Darco x Voltaire daughters and would love some suggestions for sites to post that offering. I’ve also got to get it together to sell an in utero 2013 foal (Capone 1 x spectrum/condino) and I’d love to hear success stories or feedback about listing on warmbloods-for-sale or other sites.

Hi, there just saw your post today. I just e-mailed you a youtube vide. Hope you get it!

So I have asked a couple of times to join this group but to no avail. Is there a secret code or virtual handshake I am missing? Should I perhaps just FB one of the moderators and ask them directly? I am not sure on usual FB group protocol and I don’t want to offend…

I did that and also got no reply… part of me is relieved not to be enabled any further

PM me your names on FB and I will add you.

I have used Warmbloods-for-Sale.com and Equine.com the most, however I am having a lot of luck lately using Facebook too…
