Custom boot help

Boot saga:
So, several years ago (2018), i wore down the hubs enough to accept me buying outrageously expensive DerDau boots at Landrover/Rolex. Boots were beautiful. I got the tough leather to last longer. Breaking them in took two years off my life but they are beautiful. Given the expense (2k+), they were treated as royalty, cleaned, conditioned, stored with trees yadayada, only graced our presence for sanctioned shows or fancy clinics. They remain beautiful and comfortable but we have trouble with the quality. We finally had to send them back for the second round of repairs that are normal wear and tear and it is $1000. We’re getting it done but oy!

Good news- I do need a new pair of fancy custom boots that are high quality and durable as I want to wear for all 3 phases. Any suggestions? Expensive is fine if they hold up.

Buy American and get a pair of Dehners.

Unfortunately Kroop boots in Laurel, MD went out of business, if not I would recommend them.

I have 3 pairs of semi custom DeNiros and a pair of custom Celeris. Both brands have LOTS of options when it comes to customizing the appearance of the boots.

All of my DeNiro boots have held up WONDERFULLY (one pair is about 5 years old, and still going strong after a zipper replacement a couple years ago). One pair is about 1.5 yrs old and have been used approx 2x times a week and they look brand new. My pairs cost between $850-1k each.

I cannot speak to the longevity of Celeris boots yet since I have… 6 rides on my new pair. I will say they are absolutely stunning. I got them during a sale, but if I hadn’t they would have been approx $1250.

Hope this helps!

I have 4 pairs of Celeris - my oldest being about 2 years old. The leather has held up very well! The inside panel is a softer leather, so if you ride many horses a day it might wear out faster. The zippers are the worst part for me, but I am not very good at keeping them clean. Only 1 pair has had zipper issues, and I got it corrected at a local shoe repair shop for ~$50.
I have schooling pairs, and a show pair that was an every day pair.
