Hello! My teenage daughter just received Regional High Point Rider in her division in IEA. I am so proud of her and would really love to commemorate this by getting a custom ribbon for her since the organization did not provide one. However, after looking on several different websites, I could not find a company that would custom-design a ribbon without a required minimum purchase or documentation from a specific show. Does anyone know of a website where I could get one for under $15? I know it would mean the world to her!
Thank you!
I think Stineman has a pretty low minimum. https://stinemanribbon.com/ Or you might be able to add on to a local barn’s order. Or you could get probably get a trophy of some kind or do an embroidered pad or something. You can get inexpensive stick-on engraved plates from Amazon that can go on a picture frame or tray or really anything.
Did they give her any award or chochky? You could get a good photo of her with it and build a shadowbox with the item and the photo.
If it makes you feel any better… our poor pony kid has gotten champion 2 weeks in a row at WEC Ocala… last week they gave her a candle and chapstick… this week they gave them a cutting board. When I think of 10 yr olds, purple candles and charcuterie board bases are exactly what I think of…
Better a candle or cutting board than a cross, oh my!
Hodges will also do custom rosettes. Pick one that’s big enough and you won’t have any trouble getting to the minimum.
Check out Regal Rosettes and Centaur Ribbon World for some gorgeous ones, too.
If you can’t get access to the organization’s logo for the button in the center, you can always do a mum center - those always look fancy!
Oops, just noticed you wanted to keep it under $15. I don’t think you’ll be able to get a one-off with custom printing at that price point from the regular places. Maybe you could find something on Etsy?
HAHA… true, but they have those at the restaurants… they look very similar to dog biscuits. My friend’s daughter tried to feed one to my big dog. Had to explain that it’s not edible and a religious token, not a dog treat. Sigh.
just a suggestion but check with Hobby Lobby or Micheal’s or similar brick and mortar store that sells homecoming ribbon supplies to see if they could do a custom streamer that you could attach to an award ribbon from yesteryear? I would think there are boxes of old ribbons hanging around some where that could be updated.
My youngest daughter at age three won her first class at a very large Class A back east, there was a challenge trophy as part of the award, this trophy was only “hers” for a year then it had to be returned to show. I had a local trophy shop reproduce that award before returning it (back then it was much less than $100). She still has that trophy to this day, (Come to think of it my wife still has some of the real silver trophies she won as teenager many decades ago)
What about something like this:
That is one of their quick ships - with a minimum of $15. All the custom from Hodges look to be a min order of $40 unfortunately.
Other quick ship options:
Do you (or someone you know) craft/sew? I made something similar to these for my barn’s show series special awards. You could always make them as big as you want.
I know someone in Wales who I bet could make one. She made a small order for me of about 12 rosettes this year. Shipping would be about 6.00 from Wales to US. I’ll try and find her address for you. ETA: sent you a pm
This Hodges Ribbon looks like you can customize and order just 1. If you get any pushback from them, maybe you could just put “regional high point rider” on it (not specifically listing organization) and she will still know it’s special! Looks like one is just slightly above your maximum but, dang they are pretty!

ETA: oops, just realized they require the $40 minimum. have you reached out to the organization and asked about awards or “keeper trophies”?
Search “custom award ribbon” on Etsy. I see several sellers who have listings for less than $15.
