I know this question has been asked a billion times, but here I am asking again.
Who makes good quality custom tall boots that are inexpensive (like less than 800$)? I know mundial does but I have heard terrible feedback about them.
If I am lucky my show boots last two years. I can’t justify spending 2000$ on a product that only lasts two years for me.
For what it is worth, I have had both my Der Dau field and my Tucci dressage boots for YEARS. I do take care of them but both were used for daily riding and around the barn. I wore them in the wash rack, etc too although I do generally wipe them down daily and keep them in a boot bag when not in use.
Good quality boots should last a lot longer than 2 years; I tend to think the cheaper ones end up not being good value because they don’t last anywhere near as long. YMMV.
Happy shopping!
Do your measurements actually necessitate customs? Just asking because before the advent of the “semi custom” boot, my combination of large foot and skinny chicken calf required custom boots. Now, I can find off the shelf sizes that fit in Parlantis, Tuccis, etc. For $800ish, I’d go with Tucci
Lucassb: I ride a lot of babies, and end up usually getting the rubber taken off by a horse stepping on me or getting the boot whacked into a jump standard… Maybe I just have horrible luck!
JHG140: I have an XW calf and a funny sized leg. I didn’t know parlantis did off the rack, I will look into that but I doubt they will have the right size.

Might look into the tredstep michelangelo or Medici. I have a pair of michelangelos that I ride at least one horse per day in as well as cross country so they go through brush jumps, get wet, etc and they’re still basically like new.
They had a ton of sizes available.
