Anyone use these? Tell why you like them or don’t please. I am able to purchase one with a pretty solid discount but don’t know much about them. They look like high quality pads and use merino sheepskin against the horses back but is like to hear some first hand experience.
I have used one! They are good heavy weight blanket/pads. I used one that had the fleece bottom but had a woven wool blanket on the top with wear leathers that could be used as a show blanket/pad.
I really liked it, the only thing that I had trouble with, but this goes for all fleece pads, is the break-in period. They can be a little slick at first so be aware of that.
If you can get a discounted one, I say go for it!

They weren’t on sale anywhere that I’m aware of, but I had a discount from one of the vendors that put it within my price range.
I was told to dampen the fleece side before the first ride so it will conform to his back and hopefully lessen the break in time. My saddle is a well fitting ranch roper so hopefully between the advice and the saddle, I won’t experience too much roll on my already roly poly horse, hehe.
