CWD saddle nail head replacement?

Anyone know where to find a replacement nail head for CWD saddle skirt? Fell off the saddle somewhere at a show last weekend …

Mine came loose and I had a meltdown, I contacted my rep. What area are you in? I’m pretty certain if you contact a rep or a states side office you can get a replacement.

My rep is super helpful.

Just contact your rep or the office! They should send you one.

I don’t have a rep since I bought the saddle used but will try to find an office number

FL location - (818) 859-7708
Not sure where you’re located, but they also have a store in Wellington.

No matter if you bought your saddle used or not - you likely have a rep in your area.
I can help you find him/her if you want (ex-rep here).

Note - calling them MAY result in them “wanting to see your saddle/check fit/etc” as a sales tactic, but you can always politely decline and just ask for the nail head. Also, depending what kind of saddle - it might need a special screw driver (older 2Gs screws) that reps have… So they might suggest a visit anyway.

Yeah…those ‘nail heads’ require a 3 prong screw driver…or a ballpoint pen…to put them back in. My Mademoiselle has one that keeps coming loose. Very irritating! My pen trick has done a decent job of keeping it in place, but I need the rep to figure out why it is coming loose so often. On my to-do list!

Thank you! I will give them a call. I had a rep named Vasily, but ended up finding the perfect saddle used. I will contact him.

Great info. I never even thought to check the nail head to see if it was loose

Follow up - I contacted CWD and they are unable to send me a nailhead due to a “warranty rule.” The saddle was purchased used and as far as I know I have no warranty. I need to ship the saddle to their shop in Florida and repair will cost $238. Does the nailhead affect the integrity of the saddle? If so, I would definitely want it to be repaired correctly. However I also don’t want to be without my saddle. Any input? Forum members are so helpful …

That’s so frustrating Catherine!
They use the “warranty” word when people buy away from CWD.
A lot of times reps fight against the office and can often win for the customer. You just have to have a good rep to go to bat for you.

As for needing the screw. I’ve seen plenty of saddles stay together without it.
As long as everything else is in place, you can usually be fine without that certain nail head.

Thanks for the info. I wonder about the plain nailheads you can buy on line.
